Colocation services in the best data centers in Egypt

Egypt’s First TIER-4, Carrier Neutral Data Center delivering 99.999% uptime.

in August 2002, GPX, a privately held company, designs, owns, and operates, state-of-the-art, carrier neutral Internet Data Centres (IDCs) in rapidly developing commercial markets of the Middle East North Africa (MENA) and South Asia regions. GPX is leading the technology race by being first to offer Uptime Institute certified Tier4 design infrastructures and environments combined with “true” carrier neutrality in Mumbai.

Our first IDC opened in Cairo in 2007. In June 2012, our new 3,000 m2 Tier IV designed IDC in Mumbai was launched. A second 3,000 m2 fully redundant Tier4 has been opened and fully operational since 2015. These hubs allow telecommunications providers (Telcos), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), e-businesses, and enterprise clients to collocate their servers and network equipment supporting their regional business, create disaster recovery infrastructure supporting mission-critical business needs, and aggregate traffic from remote sites within the MENA and South Asian regions for global distribution.

GPX Cairo 2 Data Center is located at New Cairo Financial Center Building (PLOT 140). The location is surrounded by Egypt’s biggest banks’ headquarters as well as notable multinationals.

True Carrier Neutrality

GPX datacenters are not Telcos nor do they resell bandwidth. GPX sole and exclusive business goal is to provide extremely reliable datacenter collocation space. Our model provides customers access to multiple carriers and multiple ISPs already present in GPX datacenter, allowing them to choose the most appropriate, efficient, and competitively priced interconnection partners for their business needs. GPX offers its clients the ability to change carriers without moving equipment and to connect to more than one carrier to achieve redundancy.

Telecommunications Infrastructure

  • All Major Telco’s and ISP’s are already present in GPX Data Centers with their nodes offering up to 10+ Gbps bandwidth capabilities. Customers do not need to change their Telco provider when moving into GPX datacenter, they get connected straight away with no delays.

  • Carrier network redundancy is the highlight of GPX datacenter. Telecom Egypt’s fibre enters GPX premises from two physically redundant paths and manholes.

  • From these two manholes, the fibre travels through physically diverse paths and enters the GPX datacenter from two separate entry points, thus eliminating any single point of failure.

  • All manholes and conduits are owned and managed by GPX
